Following its appearance at the Taiwan Expo in Washington, D.C. in October, NanoRay Biotech was featured at the internationally renowned Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting in Chicago on November 27. The event attracted significant attention from leading global medical technology companies and highlighted Taiwan’s strengths in biotechnology innovation and advanced medical applications.
NanoRay has developed a proprietary low-dose monoenergetic X-ray technology, successfully integrating a digital detector platform with AI-powered imaging diagnostic software. This collaboration led to the creation of RevoluX, the world’s first desktop hand X-ray imaging system of its kind. The product has received U.S. FDA clearance, as well as international recognition including the 2021 iF Design Award and the 2022 Taiwan Excellence Award.
Combining low radiation exposure with AI-assisted diagnostic capabilities, RevoluX delivers high-quality imaging with a streamlined, one-touch automated workflow, overcoming traditional limitations related to location and manual operation. The system is designed for applications including pediatric bone age assessment, rapid bone density screening, and hand pathology imaging, expanding diagnostic possibilities beyond hospital environments.
In response to global demographic trends such as declining birth rates and an aging population, there is growing awareness among parents regarding children’s development, as well as increased focus on osteoporosis screening for older adults and women. With its AI-assisted diagnostic software, RevoluX can generate pediatric bone age analysis and bone density evaluation reports within five minutes, supporting physicians in making faster and more accurate clinical decisions, and providing professional recommendations for treatment planning.
NanoRay also presented the system at the 2022 Taiwan Healthcare+ Expo from December 1 to 4, featuring live demonstrations and expert seminars on bone age assessment and children’s growth.
