NanoRay Biotech’s RevoluX, the world’s first desktop hand X-ray imaging system of its kind, has received prestigious recognition including the 2021 iF Design Award (Germany) and the 2022 Taiwan Excellence Award. Adding to its achievements, the company was honored with the 19th National Innovation Award – Enterprise Innovation Award (Medical Device Category), presented by the Center for Biotechnology and Medicine Policy Research. The National Innovation Award is regarded as one of the highest distinctions in Taiwan’s biomedical sector, and NanoRay’s technological accomplishments were highly recognized by an expert review panel.
NanoRay has independently developed a proprietary low-dose monoenergetic X-ray technology, successfully integrating a digital detector platform with domestic AI-powered imaging diagnostic software to create RevoluX, a desktop hand X-ray imaging system. The product has received U.S. FDA clearance and is currently being promoted in the domestic market while expanding globally.
Combining low radiation exposure with AI-assisted diagnostic capabilities, RevoluX delivers high-quality imaging with a one-touch automated workflow, overcoming traditional limitations related to location and manual operation. The system is primarily used for pediatric bone age assessment, rapid bone density screening, and hand pathology imaging, and is suitable for applications beyond hospital environments.
In response to demographic trends such as declining birth rates and an aging population, parents are increasingly attentive to children’s growth and development, while older adults and women are placing greater emphasis on osteoporosis prevention. With its AI-assisted diagnostic software, RevoluX can generate pediatric bone age analysis and bone density evaluation reports within five minutes, helping physicians make faster and more accurate clinical decisions, and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.
From November 27 to December 4, NanoRay actively participated in both domestic and international exhibitions, including the RSNA Annual Meeting 2022 in the United States and the 2022 Taiwan Healthcare+ Expo, where live demonstrations of RevoluX generated strong industry interest and discussion.
