Due to Westernized diets, the average height of Taiwanese children has been increasing, yet growth-related issues remain common, as reflected in the prevalence of “height enhancement” advertisements. To address this, NanoRay Biotech, in collaboration with Le lune Clinic, held a Children’s Health and Growth Seminar on August 27 at ILLUME TAIPEI Hotel, titled “The Two Key Factors for Height Growth”. The event featured Dr. Chuan-Hung Kao, a pediatric genetic endocrinologist from Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, who shared insights on key growth factors and the importance of early planning for children’s health and development.

Many parents lack sufficient awareness about childhood growth. Delayed development is often not classified as a disease, causing children to miss critical growth periods and making later correction more difficult. Dr. Lin-Ya Huang, Vice Director of Le lune Clinic, emphasized that “awareness is the first step toward change,” recommending regular monitoring of growth curves for early prevention.

Bone age assessment is a vital tool for monitoring growth. Parents, however, often worry about radiation exposure. NanoRay’s RevoluX hand X-ray system is a compact desktop device with a fully enclosed radiation source, delivering precise hand imaging at only one-fifth the dose of conventional X-ray machines. The system meets nuclear safety protection standards, enabling fast and safe assessments.

Le lune Clinic was among the first to adopt RevoluX, reducing radiation risk while allowing parents to accompany their children during the procedure. This creates a safe and comfortable environment for children to complete bone age checks, supporting healthy growth.

Vice Director Huang has also designed comprehensive pediatric growth programs, with Dr. Kao providing on-site consultations. Based on assessment results, children can receive guidance on exercise, nutrition, mental health, and sleep, promoting healthy development without the need for medication in early stages.

As children grow only once, NanoRay Biotech aims to make bone age assessment more widely available across Taiwan’s healthcare institutions, supporting the next generation in achieving healthy and happy development. Parents are welcome to join the seminar with their children.
